Wrote this song going into my final years living in NYC. I had started to become disenchanted with the rat race, so to speak, and started to observe things around me. From people rushing to get from point A to point B, to rushing onto the subway trains, cutting others off. Is this what life is all about? Is this the perfect life they moved to the big city to enjoy? Basically, although money makes the world go round, sometimes you've got to be content with what you've got, what you've accomplished, and just enjoy the ride. After all, there's no perfect way to the dream we want to come true. We find our way, and make it happen.
